Corn on the Cob at its Best!

I don’t know about you but I LOVE me some corn on the cob. Of course I can’t eat it like a normal human being these days. I have to eat it like I’m two and cut it off due to my beautiful braces! HA! (No eating from the cob for me, but my teeth sure are reaching perfection! :)).

Anyways…My husband and kids love when I make it. I have a secret to make it perfectly sweet. Well, it’s probably not a secret to some of you but I’ll share with those of you who aren’t in on the secret…

It’s milk, sugar & butter, my friends! Yep!

This is the only way I make corn on the cob! You will never boil corn on the cob any way ever again! I promise you!!

Here’s the goods:
• I got six ears of corn and removed the husks and silk
• 2 cups of milk
• 4-5 tablespoons of sugar
• About 1/4 cup butter

DIRECTIONS:
• Fill my huge corn/crab leg cooking pot half full with water
• Pour in the milk, sugar and butter
• Bring to a boil
• Throw in the corn
• Reduce heat to a simmer and allow corn to cook for 10-12 minutes, or until tender (all depends on size of corn)
** Don’t over cook your corn! It’ll become tough!
** DO NOT ADD SALT TO YOUR WATER! It also toughens the corn & you want tender, sweet corn!
